Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I sincerely hope and pray that you are safe and well and that your relationship with God is deepening during this trying time.
The purpose of this correspondence is to inform you that on Sunday the 7th of June at 11:30 am we intend to hold a drive in service in our church carpark. People who have organised and attended these types of services in recent weeks have spoken about the spiritual and emotional lift that comes from gathering together to worship God and from waving at a fellow church member who you haven’t seen for some time through a car window. We believe this is well worth the effort and preparation that this undertaking will require.
The service will last no more than 45 minutes and social distancing guidelines will be adhered to. Upon arrival you will be directed to a parking space by a team of marshals. Due to government guidelines everyone attending the service must enter our premises in a car (with members of their own household only) and stay in that car for the duration. Also we are not permitted to make our toilet facilities available to you. To avoid unnecessary contact no offering will be taken. Our offering collection will continue as outlined in my previous letter.
We understand that not everyone in our congregation has access to a car or will feel comfortable attending this type of service. CD services will continue to be delivered on Saturday mornings as well as being posted on our website and Facebook page @ 11: 30am on Sunday mornings.
We believe that God is leading us to take this step and that we will be richly blessed through meeting in this way. I look forward to seeing many of you there.
Yours in Christ
